Senate bill to exempt ag operations from reporting livestock emissions

Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), along with 19 other senators from both parties, introduced the Fair Agriculture Reporting Method (FARM) Act, a bipartisan bill that would countermand a pending federal court order requiring farms, ranches and other agricultural operations to calculate and report the natural emission of ammonia from poultry and livestock manure in accordance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), which monitors toxic Superfund sites.
