CANI stems from the Japanese philosophy Kaizen. On the surface, it represents that nothing is ever finished or declared perfect; rather there is always room for improvement.

Milk fat represents a large part of the economic and nutritional value of milk; therefore, decreases in milk fat concentration have serious consequences for a dairy’s bottom line. With that said, researchers have done a good job outlining the factors that cause low milk fat.

As a nutrition consultant, I want nothing more than to see my clients thrive. When their dairy has success, so does the family and community around them. With success, however, human nature can allow us to sometimes get stuck in a rut because what we are doing has worked in the past.
