Theo Scholze

Should we all be farmers?

April 20, 2017
Theo Scholze
A popular thought in the ag world is that we need to be concerned about how to increase production in order to feed the projected 9 billion people on the earth by 2050. Much research has been put into how to increase production, which has yielded spectacular results in many different commodities.

Get excited in these discouraging times: A dairy farmer’s perspective

March 17, 2016
Theo Scholze
In a time when there is large amounts of concern in the agricultural industry due to low commodity prices, regulatory pressures and attacks against the technologies we use, it is easy to become discouraged. How we achieved our financial goals by working with a peer group

February 4, 2016
Theo Scholze
As I have been working on and finalizing our 2016 budget for the farm over the last month, I have been very pleased with our numbers. February 20, 2015
Theo Scholze
When my brother and I returned to the farm from our off-the-farm experience, we knew that in order to allow the farm to support three families instead of one, we needed to make some changes.
