When we got married, I was given a dinner bell that was a metal triangle with a metal “wand.” This wand is magic. If you use it to clang the metal triangle, people come running.

I’m a fan of ridiculous. I like spoofs or a good play on words. I remember when I was a kid, Spaceballs came out. It isn’t my favorite movie, but it had some goofy references that poked fun at Star Wars.

When we trail cows, we occasionally have to cross the highway. The ranch is pretty contiguous, but the highway splits the ranch. There is a decent place to cross, but we have to flag the highway. We put out signs to let people know ahead of time they may need to stop.

New Year’s. A time to be excited about what we are looking forward to in the new year and reflect on the year that is passing. Our entire world has seen much change and uniqueness in the last year.

When our kids were little, we carted them around as much as possible when moving cows. We had lease ground we ran cattle on, and we were spread out across a couple of counties. In Montana, that means a lot of traveling.

Weather is an interesting business partner.

We have a home! We are working with a large ranch in Montana. It is about an hour away from where we lived before. It’s good to be home.

When I was growing up, my family moved several times. I loved going with my parents to look at houses with the real estate agent.
