The annual Pennsylvania Dairy Summit will take place Feb. 6-7, 2013 at the Lancaster Host Resort in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Progressive Dairyman recently reached out to some of the presenters and asked them to provide a preview of their upcoming topics.

The National Mastitis Council Annual Meeting will be held January 27-29, 2013 in San Diego, California. Early registration is open until January 4, 2013. The program will feature a number of leading experts in udder health. Progressive Dairyman asked a few presenters to discuss their plans for the meeting.

In 2011, Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy Renewable Energy Director Jerry Bingold said the U.S. dairy industry had launched a goal in 2009 to establish 1,300 anaerobic digesters in operation by 2020. This goal was intended to enable the industry to continue to improve sustainability and enhance manure management practices and revenue on farm.
