In what area are you pursuing a degree? I'm majoring in dairy science. Q. What is your agricultural background? I grew up working on various dairy farms, including an 850-cow operation. Internship information Q. What will your responsibilities be this summer? I'm serving as a relief technician and assisting with retail sales routes. Q. What do you hope to have learned by the end of your internship? I hope to have learned the ins-and-outs of being a salesman and what works on farms and what doesn’t. Q. What intrigues you most about Accelerated Genetics? The atmosphere: it’s like your one big family and everyone isn’t afraid to help another. Q. What can you do to make a meaningful impact during your internship? I hope I can make an impact by pleasing the customers, but that will also be the most challenging aspect of my internship.

I'm double majoring in dairy science and animal science. Q. What is your agricultural background? I have grown up and been actively involved on 150-acre production agriculture farm with my family that also owns and operates Romberger Farm Supply, a feed mill that also offers nutritional consulting services. We raise replacement dairy heifers, manage Hereford & Angus beef herds, and Boer goats along with corn, soybeans, and hay crops. I’ve been a member of 4-H and FFA showing dairy cattle and participating in judging & showmanship contests Q. What previous internship positions have you held? Summer Dairy Farm Employment receiving internship funds from Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania.

The celebration included an official proclamation from Governor Tom Corbett, declaring June as Pennsylvania Dairy Month.

In 2009, I interned at the Clark County Extension and last year I was the Marketing Intern at Agri-Nutrition Consulting, Inc. Internship information Q. What will your responsibilities be this summer? I will be responsible for writing press releases and testimonials, designing a new product catalog, creating newsletters and brochures, and ordering milk and cookies for county fairs in the state. Q. Although I did not grow up on dairy farm, in my 10 years in 4-H, I leased dairy heifers from various farmers around the state of Maryland. While in 4-H, I showed and competed in dairy judging at the local, state and national levels. Q. What previous internship positions have you held?
