Progressive Cattle – Canada magazine has hired Jeffrey Kennett as its first freelance intern to write coverage of the beef industry in the provinces.
Kennett is a freelance writer based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a fourth-year student at the University of the Fraser Valley and will graduate this summer with a bachelor's degree in communications. Specializing in sports media and reporting on the Canadian university sports landscape, Kennett also writes for the BC Recreation and Parks Association and covers professional Canadian sports, including the Canadian Football League, the Canadian Elite Basketball League and the National Hockey League.
“Jeffrey’s writing strength and his avid interest to develop coverage of Canada's beef industry and most innovative producers stood out in our search,” says David Cooper, Progressive Cattle – Canada managing editor. “He will be a great addition to our team in profiling some of the provinces’ best ranching operations.”
