Most of us have received the dreaded phone call, “The cows are in the neighbor’s yard again.” Hopefully, the call comes during the day while you are home and not on the anniversary weekend trip you had put off for the last five years or in the middle of the night.

Wildfire season is at different times throughout the year in the U.S. On May 1, there were 12 large fires burning in Arizona, Florida, Georgia and New Mexico.

I enjoyed reading April’s edition of Progressive Cattleman that featured the “Cowboy commandments” by Lee Pitts. As I was nodding my head and giggling in my office, one commandment that really struck home with me was a generational word of wisdom.
