New Year’s. A time to be excited about what we are looking forward to in the new year and reflect on the year that is passing. Our entire world has seen much change and uniqueness in the last year.

When our kids were little, we carted them around as much as possible when moving cows. We had lease ground we ran cattle on, and we were spread out across a couple of counties. In Montana, that means a lot of traveling.

Weather is an interesting business partner.

We have a home! We are working with a large ranch in Montana. It is about an hour away from where we lived before. It’s good to be home.

When I was growing up, my family moved several times. I loved going with my parents to look at houses with the real estate agent.

The last few weeks have been full of disappointments. The kind that wrench your gut. I haven’t wanted to write about it because it is hard for us folks in agriculture to talk about the things that hurt.

Living during the era of Covid-19 is interesting, to say the least. There are differing opinions, ideas, etc., that are bringing people together or tearing them apart. However, one thing everyone can agree on is real estate.

We’ve heard the saying: If these walls could speak … oh, the stories they would tell. I think the same is true of land. If our land could talk, what would it say?
