I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to grow up in the agriculture industry. My family operates a beef cattle ranch in northern California, and I am involved with my grandparents’ Holstein dairy nearby. I also show and manage breeding decisions for my own group of registered Holsteins and Milking Shorthorns.

I am majoring in animal science with a dairy emphasis.
Texas AgriLife Extension Service experts said this week that the recent deaths of 15 cattle in Bastrop County were likely an isolated event and that no further problems are anticipated.“There’s a lot of information and misinformation that continues to circulate about this recent isolated case of cattle dying after consuming a Bermuda grass hybrid known as Tifton 85,” said Dr. Ron Gill, AgriLife Extension livestock specialist.
“It should be known that there is not a widespread problem or concern related to this forage or its use for grazing livestock or the production of hay for livestock consumption.”
The North American Limousin Foundation (NALF) and Geneseek, a Neogen Corporation company, have solidified a non-exclusive agreement for genomic testing services.
Besides testing services, this agreement also includes a NALF exclusive product, in the form of the new Igenity-Enabled Limousin Genomic Profiler, and simplification of genetic testing with competitive prices. NALF Executive Director Mark Anderson said, "The Genomic Profiler offers additional information and promise of enhanced EPD accuracy for our breeders.

I help out at Menomonie High School boys hockey when I get the chance. I also help out with my church's slow pitch softball league.
