Think back to your first job: Were you scared to ask questions because you didn’t want your boss to think you were not able to do your job properly? Did you feel like you would rather “just figure it out” than risk looking like you didn’t know what you were doing?

The use of equipment is critical to getting a variety of jobs done on your dairy. Whether is it an auger, a tractor or a circular saw, there are a lot of tools and equipment you use.

An injury or illness may involve an employee or other individual and actually results in harm. Critical injuries are defined by each province. 

May 3-9 is the Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) 70th annual Mental Health Week. This year’s theme is a continuation of last year’s #GetReal campaign, which encourages Canadians to understand their feelings and to name it, not numb it.

Completing workplace inspections is a requirement under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The employee health and safety representative is responsible for completing a workplace inspection every month, and the manager must examine the results of the inspection and take action to correct any unsafe conditions.
