Do you know a deserving student who is passionate about the dairy industry? Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is now accepting applications for the DFA Scholarship Program. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a two- or four-year accredited college, university or trade school and pursuing a career in the dairy industry. High school seniors planning to enroll at an eligible institution may also apply.

Last year, 12 scholars received the award. Winners are selected based on their commitment to and passion for a career in the dairy industry; extracurricular activities, awards, recognition and work experience; academic achievement; and responses to three essay questions.

Applications must be received by Jan. 15, 2011, and include two letters of recommendation and recent high school or college transcripts. Winners will be announced at DFA’s Annual Meeting in March 2011.
