In a recent online poll, Progressive Forage asked, “Do you hire a third party for pesticide applications or do it yourself?”

Only 10.5 percent said they hire a private applicator. Another 18.2 percent said they hire it out to the co-op or fertilizer company. A quarter of readers (25.5 percent) said they do some themselves and hire out the rest. The majority, 45.8 percent, typically handle pesticide applications themselves, with help from their employees.  end mark
