Zoetis names winner of 2013 Cattle Call grant

Zoetis has selected Rodrigo Bicalho, DVM, PhD, assistant professor of dairy production medicine at Cornell University, as the recipient of the company’s 2013 Cattle Call grant. With the $150,000 grant, Bicalho will evaluate ways to prevent retained placenta and ultimately improve overall uterine health in cattle.

National dairy cooperatives sign deal to use natural-gas powered trucks

AMP Americas has announced that it has signed a deal with Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) and Select Milk Producers, both national dairy cooperatives, to convert a portion of their diesel needs to CNG by working with haulers to convert their fleets to CNG-powered trucks.
