“Wheat has been my bread and butter most of my life, and I wanted to give something back,” says the newest member of the Idaho Wheat Commission, Cliff Tacke. He was appointed District 2 commissioner in 2023, after a lifetime of farming near Greencreek.

Shawn and Brandon Hurst, the father-and-son duo behind Hurst Brand Farms in Declo, Idaho, embody a unique blend of tradition and innovation. Rooted in a 90-year history of growing sugarbeets and wheat, their family farm now in its fourth generation and has expanded over the years to include potatoes, corn, alfalfa, pumpkins and sunflowers.

Spring Cove Ranch, owned and operated by the Art and Stacy Butler family in Bliss for over a century, continues to etch its name in Idaho’s agricultural history.
