’Tis the season to be jolly. The holidays are upon us. Which means all the great things we love and loathe about Christmas are in full effect.

So if you regularly read my articles, you know by now that I never talk about religion, politics or social issues. I try my best to keep this part of your day humorous and drama-free.

Just so you know, I’m writing this article in September, which happens to be about 50 days before the election. This article will hit your mailbox a couple days after the election.

As dairy farmers, one of the things we all have in common are state milk inspections. If you’re reading this and have no idea what I’m talking about, the USDA inspects dairy farms to make sure everything is up to standards for producing milk for people to consume.

When it comes to food or drink, we’ve all got one item that makes us cringe when we hear the name, see it on a plate or smell it in a glass.

Just in case you didn’t know, Sept. 15 is National Double Cheeseburger Day. I think that one sentence alone is enough to complete this article, but the editors insist I fill up at least half the page.
