Q. You’re planning to develop a similar series for 2014. What topics do you plan to cover? Why are those topics important to dairy producers?
In the 2014 Cow-Side Investigation video series, I will examine milking equipment, milking routine and cow handling in the holding area. These three key management areas are often the reason for lost milk production in the parlor.
Stay tuned for another season of CSI as I investigate parlor efficiency, milk quality and the proper handling of cows in a calm and consistent manner, otherwise known as “cowsistency.”
