Multimin USA is sponsoring DocTalk with Dr. Dan Thomson as part of its effort to bring producers and veterinarians closer together to benefit future beef and dairy production. Thomson and his guests will discuss livestock management and current animal ag research every Monday on RFD-TV, 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. DocTalk topics include trichomoniasis in cattle, milk supply safety, injectable trace mineral pre-treatment of cattle, and breeding soundness exams for bulls.

Thomson is a third-generation bovine veterinarian. He is currently the Jones Professor of Production Medicine and Epidemiology at Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He was recently asked to serve on the Food Marketing Institute’s Animal Welfare Advisory Board.

He has been very active working on advisory boards and committees for American Farm Bureau, American Association of Bovine Practitioners and the North American Food Animal Well-being Committee.

He serves as a leader in the state of Kansas on animal agriculture issues and has been named to the Governor’s advisory board for the Animal Ag summit. PD
