Advanced Dairy Nutrition (ANSC 423) will be offered by the University of Illinois in the fall of 2011 beginning on Aug. 29. This feeding class (ANSC423) covers nutrient classes, phase feeding, dry cow feeding and health, and forages. The course will be coordinated by Mike Hutjens. Advanced Dairy Reproduction (ANSC 437) will begin on Aug. 29 with Dick Wallace coordinating the class. All phases of reproductive physiology, management, nutrition, and health will be covered.


Lectures are recorded and stored on the Internet (class on demand) with an Internet live class held during the 10 weeks of class on Monday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. CST (nutrition) and 8 to 9 p.m. (reproduction). Enrollees can participate for credit (U of I tuition rate), CE credit, or non-credit rate with reduced tuition.
