DeLaval has created an immersive virtual reality film of Hamra Farm – its unique innovation, testing and exhibition center in Sweden. The farm is also a commercially profitable dairy farm that produces an average 12,000 kg (26,400 pounds) of milk per cow per year.

Now farmers, journalists and other interested parties can experience the farm through a virtual reality film. Armed with a virtual reality headset such as Google Cardboard or Samsung Gear VR, anyone can now get up close and personal with the automated milking and feeding operations at one of the world’s most innovative and progressive farms.

By embracing 360-degree video and virtual reality, DeLaval clearly takes advantage of innovative (social) media technologies.

To enjoy the video at its best, it is recommended to view it through a virtual reality headset; however, viewers can also enjoy the experience on a desktop or laptop. Smartphone or tablet users can simply move their device up, down, left and right to experience the scene.

If you are on a desktop or laptop, you can view the video in the link below. On a mobile or tablet device, the video is best viewed via the YouTube app.
