What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in dairy science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Please describe your agricultural background.
I grew up on a small diversified dairy farm in southeastern Wisconsin and have experience with dairy, swine and dairy-beef production.

What territory will you cover?
I will be responsible for sales of the Moisture Tracker throughout North America, and will provide technical support to our sales teams in other countries.

What are your new responsibilities?
My main responsibilities at Digi-Star are to manage the sales and distribution of the new Moisture Tracker product. The Moisture Tracker is a unique new handheld NIR device that allows the user to take accurate, near-instantaneous moisture readings on forages and other commodities. I will be working with various organizations to set up a strong distribution network across the U.S.

What previous positions have you held?
I have previous experience as a dairy nutrition consultant as well as managing the ag products for a manufacturer of livestock drinking and cooling systems. I have experience dealing with producers and dealers from all over the world.

Who has made the biggest impact on your career?
I don’t know that there is any one person that I would consider the most influential. I have had the pleasure to deal with many individuals throughout my career who have all taught me important skills or lessons. I try to pick up on the positive traits that others around me are using with success, and work to incorporate those skills in my everyday life. I think that honesty and integrity are the most important traits to guarantee success in any occupation.

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I think that my background and experience allow me to have a pretty broad knowledge of the livestock industry, and I understand what is important to the producers. I can help them better understand and utilize Digi-Star products to attain the results they desire within their operations.

Digi-Star is a vibrant, growing company that continually looks for ways to implement new technology to the agricultural marketplace. Digi-Star allows me to utilize my knowledge and skills in the livestock industry to help develop the sales of an exciting new product.

I am thrilled with the numerous opportunities the Moisture Tracker offers the industry. I think that we will see it being used in multiple industries as we move forward. It is important to maintain consistency in the day-to-day ration being consumed by livestock, and the Moisture Tracker allows the producer to quickly and easily monitor moisture levels.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
My goal is to help Digi-Star meet and exceed expectations for the Moisture Tracker product, and to help grow sales of complimentary products like TMR Tracker. I want to provide excellent support to our distributors and end-users alike, so that they can attain the best possible results from the Digi-Star products that they use. PD
