What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I have a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside and a master’s degree (MBA) from Cardinal Stritch University.
Please describe your agricultural background.
Growing up, my grandparents had a farm, and that is where my passion for the agriculture industry began. After college, I worked at Case New Holland for 11 years and then spent two years in the dairy industry as a solutions manager. I have held a variety of management positions at the North American level.
What territory will you cover?
In my new role with Digi-Star as a senior OEM accounts manager, I will be covering the U.S. and Canada.
What are your new responsibilities?
With my new position, I will be supporting the sales team by helping grow their initiatives and customers through world-class customer support for Digi-Star’s electronic sensing equipment, precision sensors, displays and software.
What previous positions have you held?
Throughout my career in agriculture, I have served as a technical services manager, North American product marketing manager, parts and services manager, and purchasing agent.
Who has made the biggest impact on your career?
I have had many strong leaders and mentors throughout my career who have helped me along the way. As a kid, I would spend as much time with my grandpa as I could. He was a farmer and taught me to always follow my heart. That is truly when my passion for farming and agriculture began.
How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I bring a diverse level of knowledge, which helps when trying to understand the bigger picture, especially when it comes to precisely measuring and analyzing valuable data. Farming is a very cyclical industry, and being able to position yourself with a long-term strategy is the key to success. Understanding the market drivers and future trends in an ever-changing, fast-paced industry allows me to help farmers make better decisions.

Digi-Star is a market leader for electronic sensing equipment, precision sensors, displays and software that is used by farmers and other equipment operators to precisely measure and analyze valuable data from crucial farming processes.
What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
Data is such an integral part of farming today, and I would like to help provide the tools, resources and support needed to help farmers succeed. PD
