Out of 232 entries from 12 different states in the 41st World Forage Analysis Superbowl, Peterson Farm of Poplar Grove, Illinois, was named the World's Forage Grand Champion.
They won this award with their baleage category entry and were presented a cash award from Legacy Seeds. The awards were presented during the Forage Superbowl Luncheon during World Dairy Expo. The Grand Champion First-Time Entrant award, sponsored by Brevant Seeds, went to Tilstock Farms of Plum City, Wisconsin, for their alfalfa haylage entry.
Quality Counts Awards were also presented to competitors during the luncheon. For Quality Counts Corn Silage, Danny Krueger from Wausau, Wisconsin, captured top honors with their brown midrib (BMR) corn silage, sponsored by Silostop. For Quality Counts Hay/Haylage, Sand Creek Dairy of Hastings, Michigan, made way to the top. Their award was sponsored by Agri-King.
The 2025 World Forage Analysis Superbowl was supported by division sponsors Byron Seeds, Scherer Inc., Agri-King, QLF Agronomy, Ag-Bag by RCI, Lallemand Animal Nutrition, Kind Fischer, Barenbrug USA and Croplan. Additional funds were provided by La Crosse Seed and ForageMate.
