After 22 years as executive director of the Minnesota Beef Council, Ron Eustice will retire in October.
Eustice is best known for his work on food safety and irradiation. He has given irradiation education seminars in 10 countries and 30 states.

John Herrick, D.V.M., and Jim Jarrett, D.V.M., will be posthumously honored as inductees to the Cattle Production Veterinarian Hall of Fame at the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) 45th annual conference in Montreal.
They will be recognized on Sept. 22 during the Hall of Fame banquet sponsored by Merck Animal Health.
Dr. William Kunkle, Ph.D., was posthumously inducted into the American Feed Industry Association’s Liquid Feed Hall of Fame, the highest award offered by the AFIA Liquid Feed Committee and the liquid feed industry.
The honor was presented today to Dr. Kunkle’s wife at the 2012 Liquid Feed Symposium Awards Luncheon in Denver, Colorado, by Patrick Whidden and Dr. Chet Fields.
