In January, I had the delight of watching a group of 20 farm employees and managers racing against the clock to change race car tires in Bob Parker’s “Pit Crew Challenge.”

This is the time of year when I look out my window with a sense of dread at all the work I need to do. It’s not the field work or chores out in the barn that I see. It’s the weeds growing in the flower gardens that surround my house.

Countless tasks demand the attention of dairy producers – immediate and long term. It can be easy to overlook the role education plays in successfully managing a dairy business.

Frank Konyn worked with the dairy checkoff to host a virtual farm visit for a group of school nutrition professionals. 

For 20 years, the Professional Dairy Producers Foundation, known as Dairy’s Foundation, has worked to nurture the next generation of dairy leaders, develop the skills of current dairy producers and strengthen the bond of public trust between consumers and producers.
