Fuller, Jr., president and CEO of Fuller Supply Company, announced at Fuller's Annual Banquet that AgriLabs, Inc. was the livestock distributor's choice as “Vendor of the Year.” In recognition of superior service and unmatched sales support, Fuller presented the award to AgriLabs Territory Manager Dana Ankerstar (photo) and stated, "In handing you this award, it must be understood that the decision to name AgriLabs as our ‘Vendor of the Year’ was not just mine, but is an honor voted on by all Fuller Sales and Management.”

Lely announced it has entered into a marketing agreement with C & C Farm Supply, a leading milking equipment company headquartered in Harrisonburg, Virginia. For 39 years, Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) has sponsored scholarships for MMPA members, their children and employees enrolled in the Agricultural Technology Dairy Management program at Michigan State University (MSU). The scholarships are based on academics, involvement in the dairy industry and letters of recommendation.

The Pfizer Animal Genetics laboratory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, recently received the Illumina CSPro certification for GoldenGate Bovine 3K Beadchip. The Illumina CSPro certification for the GoldenGate platform is the second certification Pfizer Animal Genetics has received from Illumina in 2011.

Minnesota Select Sires announces 2011 ‘Future Leaders’ scholarship winners

Minnesota Select Sires is continuing its tradition of supporting the future of the local dairy industry by awarding educational scholarships to students pursuing agricultural careers. Four deserving students were selected as winners of the $500 scholarships this year. “As always, we had a very strong group of applicants. Bovance names scholarship winner

Bovance has chosen Brent Sexton from Rockwell City, Iowa, as the winner of the first Bovance Scholarship Contest. Sexton, along with 15 other applicants, chose one of five topics about cloning and genetic preservation to write an essay.
