DFC launches Project Sleep for a healthier Canada

In May, Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) launched its new campaign, Project Sleep, aimed at helping Canadians sleep better for a healthier Canada.

Cogent Breeding Ltd. has announced an important partnership with the newly formed, type merit specialist Blondin Sires Inc. The move, which creates a dedicated partnership in the supply of breed-leading Holstein type sires, follows Cogent’s recent expansion in the global market.

Lameness is one of the most important welfare, health and productivity problems in intensive dairy farming worldwide. It is important for dairy farmers to realize it causes pain and therefore reduces cow longevity, milk production and reproductive performance, all of which contribute to substantial financial losses.
