What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I have seen both sides of the spectrum in my education and background. This helps me make the best decisions that are possible. I was also in the military so I greatly understand the value of teamwork and commitment.

Please describe your agricultural background.
I was raised on a dairy farm in the Netherlands to the age of seven. Then my family moved to Dublin, Texas, where we own a large commercial dairy. We were there until I was 14. In 2001, my family moved to Neillsville, Wisconsin, where we owned an 800-cow registered herd and some high-end show cows. From 2010 to present I filled management roles in various dairy herds ranging from 8,000 cows to 700 cows.

What territory will you cover?
All of Texas and New Mexico.

What are your new responsibilities?
I am a national accounts manager for the large herd division of Genex Cooperative. My responsibilities include sales to large accounts with the help of our local sales personnel. I provide resources and consultative services to keep those accounts as profitable as possible.

What excites you most about working in your new role?
Being able to work with dairy farmers and make their businesses as profitable as possible.

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I have lived the dairy industry my whole life, so I can relate to the dairymen on a more personal level. I know that we are in a tough industry, so I want help the farmers look into the future instead of just getting a sale today.
