Rod Heale Wyoming, New York Territory Development Specialist CRV

What education are you bringing with you to this position?
The best education I have received is from the dairy producers and industry leaders I have worked closely with through the years. I have had a number of great mentors working within the AI industry and in agribusiness – professionals that I have associated with. These hands-on experiences and knowledge along with hard work are key to my continual education.

Please describe your agricultural background.
I have a life-long background in many aspects of the dairy business. I grew up helping out on my grandfather's New York dairy farm. Working with cattle over the years gave me a real appreciation for the time it takes to run a successful AI program. Genetic gains can only be transferred through pregnancies.

What territory will you cover?
The main focus will be the Northeast but it's not limited to that if the right opportunities arise.

What are your new responsibilities?
As a territory development specialist, it is all about sales. Building long-term relationships with producers, hiring the best potential people and building industry alliances will be key responsibilities.

What previous positions have you held?
Over 20 years I have had many opportunities. I have worked as a relief technician, service unit technician, team coordinator and, for the past six years as an area sales manager – all within the AI industry.

What excites you most about working in your new role?
The opportunity to build something unique and tailor it to meet the specific needs of that area. I do not have to do the “same old thing” and CRV has allowed me this freedom to accomplish whatever it takes to meet those needs. I will be limited only by my lack of imagination!

Why did you choose this company?
When I decided it was time to leave the company for which I had been working for more than 20 years, CRV was the only company within the AI world that really has the direction, leadership, values and products that aligned with my core values.

CRV globally has products to meet many differing types of producers for both dairy and beef. The AI industry here in the U.S. is limiting or narrowing its focus too much and I believe CRV is just the right company to give producers here in the U.S. more options in the product offering to meet each individual producer's goals.

CRV is also focused on the employee and helping them succeed in their professional goals as well as supporting them in their personal goals. CRV is dedicated to employees’ wellbeing. They offer the best medical coverage or benefits package available within the AI industry.

Not having to work within an established structure allows CRV to have the flexibilities it needs to hire the right people and offer producers uniquely tailored options.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
Help CRV grow both in the U.S. market as well as globally through long-lasting relationships with producers, top quality CRV representatives and products that exceed expectations. PD
