Bill Conrad Loveland, Colorado Area Sales Manager Nutrition Physiology Company LLC
What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I have a bachelor of science in agribusiness and economics from the University of Idaho.
Please describe your agricultural background.
Agriculture has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was raised on a dairy and cow calf operation in Idaho where I learned the basics of running a dairy farm. I continued to expand my agriculture experience in high school where I was very active in both 4-H and FFA.
Following graduation, I went to the University of Idaho and worked on the university’s dairy and feed mill operations. My educational and professional background has been entirely focused on agriculture.
What territory will you cover?
My territory is the state of Colorado.
What are your new responsibilities?
I am responsible for working with dairy farms and calf raising facilities to improve production efficiency and herd health. Specifically, I will focus on maximizing profitability for dairy producers in Colorado.
What previous positions have you held?
Previous to my current position at Nutrition Physiology Company, I worked for Ranch-Way Feeds in Fort Collins, Colorado, where I was the sales manager. I oversaw all sales which included dairy, beef and independent feed dealers.
I also worked for Purina Mill and was responsible for dairy, cattle, equine and pet food sales in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Kansas and Colorado at different times of my career.
What excites you most about working in your new role?
I am excited to have the opportunity to work with the dairy producers in Colorado. Every day is different with this job. I can evaluate customer concerns and identify ways to enhance our products and customer service.
How will your work in your new role benefit dairy producers?
My role will benefit the dairy producers by making information about Bovamine Dairy available to customers, producers, nutritionists and veterinarians. With today’s high feed costs Bovamine will improve feed efficiency and digestibility.
Why did you choose this company?
It has a strong reputation as a responsible company and Bovamine is the leading direct fed microbial in the U.S. market and several other countries around the world. The company has countless opportunities for me to grow personally and professionally.
What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
My goal is to educate producers on the importance of starting heifers on Bovamine and continue feeding it to dairy cows. I want to show the producers that by adding Bovamine to their program they will stabilize the entire GI tract, improve feed conversion and have better overall health. PD
