Two tornado warnings threatened but couldn't stop a successful Kentucky Dairy Partners Meeting (KDP) and Young Dairy Producer Conference (YDPI). The events, held February 28-29, were a collaborative effort of the Kentucky Dairy Development Council, SUDIA/ADA of Kentucky, University of Kentucky Dairy Extension and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.

Nearly 110 attendees participated in the YDPI on Tuesday, about 125 attended the trade show reception on Tuesday evening and more than 250 attended the Kentucky Dairy Partners meeting on Wednesday.
For the first time, the meeting was held at the Holiday Inn/Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green. And it was the first time that the YDPI and KDP were held back-to-back, which enhanced attendance for both.
"We felt that by including the reception, breakfast and lunch into the trade show area successfully encouraged the interaction of the attendees and the vendors," Kentucky Department of Agriculture Dairy Marketing Specialist Eunice Schlappi said. PD
