Tom Wall, president of Dairy Interactive, recently teamed up with dairy veterinarian Roger Thomson and dairy equipment specialist Paul Peetz to launch a new dairy blog. The Almost Perfect Parlor, found at perfectparlor.com, is intended for anyone whose livelihood depends on healthy cows, quality milk and productive employees – dairy managers, veterinarians, milking equipment technicians and other milk quality specialists.
On the site, dairy professionals can find answers, ask questions and discuss the most common and challenging issues they face every day while striving to get cows milked correctly, consistently and efficiently.
Recent posts include "Who's in Charge of Your Parlor" and "Milker Communication Made Easier."
"We originally wanted to call the blog simply 'The Perfect Parlor,'" says Wall. "But hey, we're realistic – when cows, equipment and people meet, 'almost perfect' is as close as we'll get!" PD
