Milk Specialties Global has announced it has acquired the Protient Dairy Processing Facility in Norfolk, Nebraska, from PGP International. The Norfolk facility is considered a state-of-the-art processing plant capable of producing a wide variety of specialty milk products including lactose, cream, milk proteins, whey proteins and hydrolysates. The addition of this facility will significantly enhance Milk Specialties Global Food Solutions’ position as a major supplier to the sport nutrition, health and wellness, and infant formula markets.


Milk Specialties Global Food Solutions is a manufacturer and marketer of specialty nutritional proteins including specialty milk and whey proteins and a wide range of nutraceutical products. “The acquisition of the Norfolk Facility allows for significant expansion of our base ingredient business,” said David Lenzmeier, president of Milk Specialties Global – Food Solutions. “This is a very sophisticated manufacturing facility. It will give us great flexibility in terms of product opportunities; it strengthens our capacity and will enhance our abilities to better supply our growing customer base.”
