Classes include hay, haylage, baleage and corn silage. Producers will be invited to submit samples for lab and visual analysis; winners from each class will be displayed at the Canadian Dairy XPO in February 2014. 

There are several reasons growers might want to participate, according to the council, including, among other things, the opportunity to market forages; advertise forage for export; win cash prizes ($500 for first place in each category); and network with producers from across the country.
