As the summer grazing season comes to a close, planning should be in place for the timing of grazing on pastures during next year’s growing season. Periodically rotating the timing of grazing on native rangelands in mixed-grass, semi-arid environments provides a chance for plants to maintain vigor during critical times of their growth cycles.

Beef cattle, as well as other types of livestock, are extremely important for feeding an ever-growing world population. A majority of the world is untillable land lending itself to livestock production.
