SCR Engineers Ltd announced the appointment of Thomas Wu as their China general manager Sept. 9. Wu joins SCR from Tyco Flow Control, where he was in charge of marketing in China. As the leader of SCR’s business in China, Wu will manage their growing local team of professionals responsible for project management, sales, marketing, field service, logistics and professional service.

On Sept. 12, Horizon Organic announced the 2014 recipients of two annual awards that honor its family farmers. Andrew and Saraetta Batdorf of McVeytown, Pennsylvania, received the Horizon Organic Producer Education (HOPE) Award for being advocates for organic agriculture.

CRI has awarded five high school seniors with $750 college scholarships. The scholarship recipients include Taylor Behnke of New Glarus, Wisconsin; Klay Oland of Sheldon, North Dakota; Emily Daniel of Tiffin, Ohio; Clint Dallas of Shawano, Wisconsin; and Dustin Salter of Eden, Wisconsin.

Ate Lindeboom is retiring from his position as executive director of operations and development of CRV Holding B.V., effective Jan. 1, 2015. He will be succeeded by Alfred de Vries, CRV's current manager of genetic products.
