SCR Engineers Ltd announced the appointment of Thomas Wu as their China general manager Sept. 9. Wu joins SCR from Tyco Flow Control, where he was in charge of marketing in China. As the leader of SCR’s business in China, Wu will manage their growing local team of professionals responsible for project management, sales, marketing, field service, logistics and professional service.

From his base in Beijing, Wu will manage the China team and work closely with SCR’s global team and channel partners in China to expand their presence and service key Chinese dairy customers.

SCR has been active in China for the past few years, with a growing distribution network. More than 100,000 of the company's cow monitoring tags were sold in China last year.

“Israel and China work closely together to drive dairy industry advancement, and we are proud to be part of this bilateral effort,” said CEO Yariv Avisar. The company's global headquarters is in Netanya, Israel. “We welcome Thomas aboard and look forward to working closely with him as we continue to invest in our local team and operations and drive further growth in the China market.”

Prior to taking up his new position, Wu worked with Tyco Flow Control, first as China business development director – mining and metal and then as China marketing director. Previously, he held various marketing, business development and strategic planning positions at Danaher, Ingersoll Rand and Emerson Electric. Wu holds a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science from Shanghai Jiaotong University. PD
