Kubota to build tractor factory in Georgia

December 29, 2011
State officials say a Japan-based firm will construct a new $73 million manufacturing facility in northeast Georgia, creating 200 new jobs. Gov. Nathan Deal said Kubota Corp. intends to build the plant in the Jackson County town of Jefferson.

Western Canadian Dairy Seminar to celebrate 30 years

For 30 years, the Western Canadian Dairy Seminar has been presenting some of the world’s leading experts to inform and challenge those in the dairy industry to take a leading role in the development of the industry through the adoption of the latest technologies and information and to discuss current issues challenging the dairy industry. Plans are underway to do just that once again from March 6-9 at the Capri Hotel (soon to be Sheraton Red Deer) in Red Deer, Alberta. The 30th annual Western Canadian Dairy Seminar will kick-off with a pre-conference symposium, pre-conference tours and producer workshops.

DVO, the new GHD, expands into Asia, Europe, South America

GHD, Inc., the U.S. leader in anaerobic digestion and designer of nearly half of all American dairy biogas systems, announced it will now export its technology to Asia, Europe and South America. To prepare for this international expansion, GHD, Inc. also announced that the company has changed its name to DVO, Inc.

American Agri-Women elect officers, recognize outstanding contributors

Women involved in agriculture from throughout the U.S. and Canada met in Wichita, Kansas, recently for the 36th annual American Agri-Women (AAW) convention. They elected officers, recognized outstanding contributors – and gathered information and resources to advocate for agriculture. AAW is a national coalition of more than 40,000 farm, ranch and agribusiness women, representing 60 state and commodity affiliates.
