After five years as manager of communications for the National Corn Growers Association, Janice Tolley Walters has left the organization to become the new director of communications for the seed industry, according to Andrew W. LaVigne, president and CEO of the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA).

Forage Genetics International (FGI) acquired the sorghum genetics brand Sudax earlier this year in a move that strengthens the position of FGI as a leader in the forage industry. Having marketed the three most popular Sudax products for years, FGI is now not only offering the quality hybrids producers are familiar with, but also introducing new technologies.

The Ontario Forage Council (OFC), with support of the Canadian Forage and Grassland Association (CFGA), is introducing the first "Milk Maker" Forage Competition, showcased at the Canadian Dairy XPO in February. Contest deadline is Dec. 13.
