Please describe your agricultural background.
I received my DVM from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña in my native country, the Dominican Republic.

Prior to joining Diamond V in July of this year, I served as program technician for the USDA. I managed the Milk Income Loss Contract program, and compliance and outreach for the Calumet County, Wisconsin, office.

What territory will you cover?
I will be responsible for Diamond V’s global dairy market.

What are your new responsibilities?

  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the Diamond V global dairy program
  • Support the launch of new dairy products
  • Identify and assess opportunities for Diamond V products in the market

What previous positions have you held?
Before accepting my position with the USDA, I worked for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture from 2008 to 2010 as a trade and consumer protection agriculture outreach specialist. I also worked as a field researcher for the Environmental Resources Center at the UW – Madison College of Agriculture & Life Sciences.

Prior to these positions, I worked for two large Wisconsin dairy farms as a dairy scientist/young stock specialist; for UW – Extension System as co-developer, instructor and interpreter of the Dairy Workers Training Module; and with the Lakeshore Technical College dairy management program as an adjunct instructor.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
I would like to enhance awareness of all of the Diamond V dairy programs. PD
