Idaho dairy producers were told to get out in front of the trends, and the latest trend is a return to traditional shopping … with a digital twist. A record number of Idaho dairy producers heard the message and turned out for their annual meeting in Boise Nov. 12-13. At the meeting speaker, Phil Lempert, known as the “Supermarket Guru,” told producers to think about how they communicate with consumers. He suggested doing everything from product demonstrations in grocery stores to more online storytelling.

More than 250 farmers, nutritionists and industry professionals recently descended upon Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, ready to accept the challenge, “Are you in it to win it?” and discuss innovations and investments every dairy should consider for a fruitful future.

Artex Barn Solutions brought more than 60 of its North American dairy customers and dealers to China in late October to celebrate the company’s 40th year in business.

Transition in the dairy industry was the overarching theme of this year’s Women in Dairy Conference, held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Nov. 5, 2014. This biennial conference first began in 2004. The conference kicked off with an evening reception on Nov. 4. The following day, keynote speaker Mike McGrann of Saint Joseph’s University challenged attendees to lead better communication within their farming enterprises.
