The national brand Horizon Organic is launching single-serve milk boxes of one of its products, Organic Milk with 32 mg DHA Omega-3. The company states that the new boxes are shelf-stable, requiring no refrigeration, and "provide consumers with all of the same nutritious benefits of organic DHA omega-3 milk."

According to Horizon Organic, theirs is the first on-the-go milk product enhanced with 32 mg DHA omega-3 to come to market.

DHA omega-3 is a long-chain omega-3 fatty acid that has been studied for its role in supporting healthy brain development.

Each serving of Horizon Organic Milk with DHA omega-3 provides 32 mg of DHA. Horizon Organic sources its DHA from DSM Nutritional Products, which obtains it from "a sustainable, plant-based and vegetarian source of DHA omega-3," according to the product description.

The milk boxes are available in chocolate 1 percent or vanilla 1 percent, in 6-count, 12-count and 18-count packages. PD
