Animart adds Feed-O-Meter to its heat-detection system Animart Inc., a privately held provider of animal health and veterinary products, has added Feed-O-Meter to its Track a))) Cow electronic heat-detection system.

The product creates a 10-day history that measures animal feeding behavior, including visits to and total amount of time spent at the feedbunk.

Deviation from the 10-day average can indicate health problems and animals that may need additional care, according to the company.

This system can also help identify misgrouped animals on an operation. The reports are sent immediately to the producer’s device of choice for analysis.

The product is included in the company’s recently launched Calf to Calf program, which offers producers a 12-month zero-percent financing option that provides the complete electronic heat-detection system along with two free blood pregnancy tests per animal.

PM is indicated for use in cattle, while OC is for dairy cattle.

The products, acquired by Bayer through acquisition of Teva, have been among the leading reproduction management product choices for veterinarians and producers for years, according to the company.
