“I’m forever grateful for the experiences I have had growing up with my parents and older brother on our registered Holstein farm,” Moser says. “Between registering newborn calves, feeding heifers, assisting with ultra-sounding, milking cows, showing animals and much more, I’ve learned so much about the hard work and dedication that goes into our industry. I’m so proud to be involved.”
Moser has also been active with 4-H, FFA and the Wisconsin and National Holstein Associations. She served as the president of the Seas Branch Smithies 4-H club for six years while primarily exhibiting in the photography, arts & crafts and dairy projects. During her senior year of high school, she held the position of secretary for the Westby FFA chapter.
Within the Junior Holstein Association, Moser has competed on the national level with informative folding displays and speeches and was recently named a 2019 National Distinguished Junior Member Semifinalist. In 2017, Moser proudly served as the Wisconsin Holstein Association Princess where she attended shows, conventions and public appearances advocating for registered Holsteins in person, on social media and in her Princess column, “Courtney’s Cattle Crossings.”
“Connecting with fellow dairy producers and consumers alike has always been a passion of mine,” Moser says. “I love interacting with people from various backgrounds and sharing the story and importance of agriculture.”
That passion drew Moser to attend Wartburg College in Iowa to study multimedia journalism and public relations. Moser is delighted to incorporate agriculture into her own classwork, newspaper stories, on the radio and as a news anchor for their student-run media groups.

Moser will primarily write farm, beat, feature and news articles for publication in print and online for Progressive Dairy.
