Education Awards
Each year, six bursaries are presented to young adults across Canada involved in the dairy business and still attending university or college. Recipients are selected from geographic regions across Canada, one from the West, two from Ontario, two from Québec and one from the Atlantic.

In 2013 these awards were increased to $1,000 each (from $750). Applications can be made on Holstein Canada’s website starting the first week of October. Final selections will be made by the end of December.

“We have been impressed with the quality of applicants,” comments Janet Walker, young adult coordinator. “The cost to attend university or college continues to rise so this investment will be much appreciated.”

Bovine Medicine Awards
Holstein Canada has a long tradition of supporting students completing a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. This award recognizes one student from each of the five Canadian veterinary colleges for their scholastic achievements.

In 2013 these awards have been increased to $1,000 each (from $400).
