Fifteen of the industry’s top future leaders in bovine veterinary medicine, recognized recently at the 2013 AABP Annual Conference in Milwaukee, each were awarded $5,000 scholarships. They include:

  • Rebecca Cornell, Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph
  • Amy Dahlke, College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota
  • Dan Haeflinger, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine
  • Janelle Hoffman, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine
  • Chelsea Holschbach, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine
  • Andrew Kryzer, College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota
  • Brandon Miller, College of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University
  • Matthew Mundy, Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine
  • Kim Painter, Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph
  • McKenzie Steger, University of Iowa and Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine
  • Holt Tripp, Oklahoma State University¹s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences
  • Travis Vlietstra, College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University
  • Michael J. Wesselink, University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine
  • Abigail Wirt, College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota

Veterinary students in their third and fourth year of college are eligible to receive the award. Recipients of the scholarship are selected based on academic achievement, career goals, work experience and interest in veterinary medicine.
