Exzolt Cattle-CA1 from Merck

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted a conditional approval for Exzolt Cattle-CA1 (fluralaner topical solution). This product is in the newest class of parasiticides known as isoxazolines. The pour-on solution is effective for the prevention and treatment of infestations caused by New World screwworm (Cochliomyia hominivorax) larvae (myiasis). It is also conditionally approved for the treatment and control of cattle fever tick (Rhipicephalus microplus).

Exzolt Cattle-CA1 is a pour-on that delivers the active ingredient fluralaner to act systemically against infestations. It is approved for use in beef cattle 2 months old and older, and in replacement dairy heifers under 20 months. It is not approved for use in bulls intended for breeding (1 year old and older), dairy calves and veal calves. There is a 98-day meat withdrawal period.

Exzolt Cattle-CA1 will be available by prescription in 1-liter or 5-liter presentations in the first quarter of 2026.

Oculeye from Vetis

Out here, you don’t have time for complicated treatments – or harsh chemicals that risk stressing your cattle even more. That’s why Oculeye by Vetis was created: a smarter, gentler way to support eye health and change how producers fight pink eye.

Oculeye is powered by hypochlorous acid, a remarkable natural chemistry produced by white blood cells as part of the body’s own immune response. In other words, this is biology working with biology. The result is a solution that is pH neutral, nontoxic and safe for both animals and people, yet highly effective at supporting recovery from irritation and infection.

Applied as a light, easy spray, Oculeye helps soothe irritated eyes, reduce redness and support healing, while also helping lower the risk of recurrence during high-risk seasons. No complicated protocols. No harsh residues. Just clean, gentle care your cattle tolerate well.

For cattle owners serious about herd health, productivity and animal welfare, Oculeye isn’t just another product – it’s a shift in approach. A modern tool for a costly, persistent problem.

Kalf Kozies

The Kalf Kozies are the most secure ear protectors available. While the comfort and well-being of the calf is a top priority, frozen ears can cause a significant loss in value, whether as breeding stock or commercial feeders at sale time. OmniMaster4 from Ritchie Industries

Ritchie Industries has introduced an all-climate solution for cattle operations that need a flexible watering solution for use in various pen configurations. The new OmniMaster 4 puts the proven performance and producer-favorite features of the OmniMaster 8 in a smaller footprint to reliably water up to 180 beef cattle or 90 dairy cows.

Its rapid-refill high-pressure valve means both sides of the OmniMaster 4 are always full, so animals stay hydrated. Here’s a closer look at some of this waterer’s other top benefits:

  • Flexible setup: The center-valve design gives you more flexibility in how you set up your pens.
  • Easy to clean: A large drain plug and recessed drain allow for fast and complete draining, simplifying cleaning.
  • Easy maintenance: The popular flip-open top cover gives easy access to the valve and float, making maintenance simple.
  • All climate: Stainless wraparound heated trough keeps water flowing even on the coldest days.
  • Energy-efficient: Fully insulated casing boosts energy efficiency and durability.
  • Safe: Rounded edges and smooth transitions are safe for animals.
