Rented/leased ground plays an important role in rancher plans
Have you ever rented the neighbor’s place? Taken a BLM or Forest Service lease? We all know grazing and farming acres are at a premium. When polled about plans to rent/lease public or private ground in 2026, just over half of the respondents said they would be seeking leased ground.
Tagging is top priority at calving
There is a whole laundry list of options when it comes to newborn calf care. A lot can depend on how much help a calf needs to come into the world, but for most producers there is a set protocol that can include tagging, banding, weighing and more.
