The November World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report (WASDE) showed this month’s 2025-26 U.S. corn outlook is for increases in supply, exports and ending stocks. Total supply is 144 million bushels higher as larger beginning stocks are partially offset by lower production.

As harvest winds down and winter edges closer, hay producers find themselves in a season of recalibration.

The focus should be on identifying the subgroups of animals within these larger groups that are more susceptible to succumbing to the transition period challenges. In order to do this, we created the Target Cow concept.

With careful attention to utilization, producers can significantly reduce hay waste and get more nutrition from every bale.
