Select Sires Member Cooperative (SSMC) organized the Northeast Iowa Progeny Performance Tour on July 30. Over 70 dairy producers from Minnesota and Iowa joined the excursion.

When Zachary Damrow first moved to Idaho, youth involvement in the dairy show industry was very minimal – and over the years, it continued to decline. After he and his wife had their two children, Callen and Dawson, Damrow felt inspired to ensure there would be something meaningful for them to be a part of.

Construction continues at the Idaho Center for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (Idaho CAFE), a University of Idaho-led facility in Rupert, Idaho, that will include the nation’s largest research dairy. Phase II is currently underway and includes construction of a commodity barn, a calving and research barn and a classroom building.

Dairy producers – Jesse Brutscher of DayStar Dairy and Greg Moes of MoDak Dairy Inc. – shared their trials and feats of adapting technology on their respective farms in a panel session during the 2025 Precision Dairy Conference.
